Winder Engineer (Copper mining)

Winder Plant Engineer (Copper Mining).
A major Copper Mining Company in Zambia has a contract single/married residential vacancy for the ideal candidate to fill the position of Winding Plant Engineer.

PLEASE NOTE: Regrettably, we are unable to consider candidates who do not have prior mining industry experience (this is a crucial requirement and NOT negotiable).

• Salary around US$170K per annum cost to company (Taxable)
• Excellent guaranteed annual bonus scheme

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• At least 7 years experience of maintaining double drum winders/Koepe winders.
• Shaft sinking experience
• Knowledge of statutory regulations governing winders.
• Design experience will be an added advantage.
• Experience in project management will be an added advantage
• Membership of professional institution,(or qualified to obtain membership of EIZ/ERB)
• Ability to supervise both mechanical and electrical aspects of design, construction and erection of winders and associated equipment, in accordance with project plan/schedule.
• Proficiency in use of computers. Basic knowledge of Microsoft excel, power point, AutoCAD/Microstation will be an added advantage

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Checking all designs for winding plant and associated equipment for the shaft project.
• Checking construction work in progress.
• Supervising erection of winder and all associated equipment.

Senior Projects Process Engineer (Mining).

Contract FIFO position in the mining sector in a remote and safe area of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Reports to the Engineering Manager. Single status position with a six day working week.

REQUIREMENTS:
• University Graduate in discipline
• 10 Years minimum experience in design of hydrometallurgical process plant with emphasis on Copper/Cobalt and other base metals
• Good communication skills. Able to direct and liaise with engineering services providers on a daily basis
• Able to communicate effective with Senior Management
• Able to function within a team structure.

REMUNERATION & BENEFITS
• Annual salary up to US$140,000 (tax free plus benefits), depending on skills and experience..

Country Head of Legal, French speaking (Mining Industry)

Contract Fly-in-Fly-out position in the mining sector in a remote and safe area of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Single status position (not favourable for wives and families to reside there) with a six day working week. Reports to the General Counsel & Company Secretary.

Initially it is a 1 year contract and then renewable for a further 2-3 years, depending on you and the company the contract could be for a longer period of time.

KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• A minimum of 7 years of post qualifying experience, with strong preference as in-house counsel of an international industrial company
• Experience with doing business in Africa, ideally DRC
• Essential: Fluent French and English
• Candidate should be able to commit working and residing in DRC

KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
