Sales & Marketing Co-Ordinator

The position will be based in India, reporting on a day to day basis to the General Manager of Hawkley Group UK, but also liaising closely with the Indian Company office in Pune which is the centre for the business in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating the sales and developing marketing strategies to deliver growth and increased profile of Hawkley Group’s separate Business areas. Main responsibilities will include the following:-

the development and co-ordination of new prospects and customers through database research and referrals, primarily by initial direct phone, mail and e-mail contact.
to arrange and go to appointments for visiting new and existing customers at their premises throughout India for promotion and selling activities including business presentations, proposals, quotations and product demonstrations when required.
to be responsible for the co-ordination and maintenance of a CRM database which is seen as one of the key tools in assisting to control the growth of the business.
to co-ordinate effectively with customer, Indian office and UK Management, all sales & marketing activities self generated and on instruction.
the development of marketing material and initiatives that will drive the business forward.
to assist in the maintenance and development of the Company website.
to maintain a constantly up to date electronic filing system recording all activities and initiatives for regular discussion with UK management.
to keep up to date and document product, sector and Competitor developments and activities in the market place.
to attend meetings at Indian office as required and to visit Hawkley Group UK when instructed for the purpose of product and personal development training.
to define, agree and implement a sales and marketing strategy for India with the assistance of UK management giving particular attention to possible business threats and opportunities.
to identify export opportunities developed from India and to provide relevant information for International sales opportunities to UK management.

Candidate Requirements:
The person must have the following skills and attributes:-

have a minimum of 2 years working experience in a sales and marketing related position, preferably field based
experienced in face to face selling situations
be fluent in both written and spoken English
have a good and clear telephone manner
be educated to a high standard
be well organised and methodical
be fully computer literate
be able to manage their own workload within the goals set
show initiative and push forward suggestions and new ideas where necessary.
have a strong personality to be able to deliver
be confident and presentable at all times
have a passion and desire to succeed in sales
be capable of working to set deadlines and performance targets
Driving licence preferable

Salary will be by negotiation within a range depending on the specific skills and experience offered by the candidate.
