DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES, National Capital Reg.
(Subic Bay with occasional travel to Makati City)
Responsibilities:
Establishes and implements HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the firm’s vision and strategic vision.
Develops HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall firm business objectives.
Functions as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management of each business unit or specialty group regarding key organizational and management issues.
Working with the firm’s executive management, establishes a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the firm.
Develops comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals.
Develops and implements comprehensive compensation and benefit plans that are competitive and cost effective for the firm.
Provides overall leadership and guidance to HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training and leadership development, compensation and benefits.
Prepares, recommends, and maintains records and procedures for controlling personnel transactions and reporting personnel data.
Designs personnel forms and directs the maintenance of personnel records by all departments.
Administers company’ s Equal Employment Opportunity program.
Proposes, publishes, and administers personnel policies.
Conducts wage and salary surveys.
Administers classification programs, which includes classifying and reclassifying positions, and writing job descriptions.
Accepts all applications and works with applicants and department heads; administers typing tests, spelling tests, etc., as required.
Processes all new employees and all change-of-status and personnel action forms.
Maintains permanent personnel records.
Provides public information such as verifying employment.
Conducts orientation programs.
Coordinates grievance panel nominations, hearings, and activities.
Coordinates benefit program.
Responsible for employee relations.
Monitors performance appraisal programs.
Coordinates risk management program.
Coordinates safety programs.
Monitors workers’ compensation claims and coordinates work between employee and insurance carrier.
Maintains complete attendance records.
Stays current on recent federal, state and case law changes and monitors labor law updates and newsletters for changes that affect HR.
Directly supervises HR department associates and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Requirements:
It is understood that the Director of Human Resources shall likewise perform any other task/s as may be assigned by management from time to time in the effective carriage of his/her role.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in HR management, business administration or related field.
Seven years or more related experience.
Strong business acumen.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS ETC:
Fully conversant and updated with Philippine labor laws.
General knowledge of US labor laws.
GPHR certification is desirable (if uncertified, must obtain certification within 18 months).
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Excellent mathematical skills.
Excellent computer skills.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Other HR certification is desirable.
