Credit Analyst
Position Summary:
•Effective, professional communicator with ability to interact well with key customer and high credit risk accounts
•Can develop strong working relationships and deal with sensitive collection issues as they arise
•Takes the necessary action required to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction
•Strong analytical and research skills to be used for problem solving and dispute resolution
•Able to work across departments and with 3rd party agencies to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues and disputes
•Understands credit line setting/tolerances and credit scoring metrics in relation to company’s risk policy and customer AR balances/sales
•Ability to recognize when customers are exhibiting cash flow issues and know when to escalate such problems to management and sales rep
•Negotiates payment schedules and terms of payment on higher risk customers in order to allow for continued shipment of product while eliminating the past due balance and minimizing credit exposure
•Responsible for prioritizing work and daily collection queues to best manage group accounts
•Possesses SAP and Excel knowledge to create spreadsheets for customers, finance manager and sales
•Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements:
•Work requires the level of educational development normally acquired through completion of a two-year associates degree in business or related field or NACM certification. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
•Requires a thorough understanding of the credit and collections functions in order to work under limited supervision in resolving complex credit issues
•Knowledge of accounting and finance fundamentals
•Requires strong ability to prioritize and be self-motivated in order to meet daily demands of customers and supervisor.
•Must be proficient in Excel and able to create, edit and maintain spreadsheets and workbooks.
•Knowledge of Get Paid and SAP preferred.
