Winder Engineer (Copper mining)
Winder Plant Engineer (Copper Mining).
A major Copper Mining Company in Zambia has a contract single/married residential vacancy for the ideal candidate to fill the position of Winding Plant Engineer.
PLEASE NOTE: Regrettably, we are unable to consider candidates who do not have prior mining industry experience (this is a crucial requirement and NOT negotiable).
• Salary around US$170K per annum cost to company (Taxable)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• At least 7 years experience of maintaining double drum winders/Koepe winders.
• Shaft sinking experience
• Knowledge of statutory regulations governing winders.
• Design experience will be an added advantage.
• Experience in project management will be an added advantage
• Membership of professional institution,(or qualified to obtain membership of EIZ/ERB)
• Ability to supervise both mechanical and electrical aspects of design, construction and erection of winders and associated equipment, in accordance with project plan/schedule.
• Proficiency in use of computers. Basic knowledge of Microsoft excel, power point, AutoCAD/Microstation will be an added advantage
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Checking all designs for winding plant and associated equipment for the shaft project.
• Checking construction work in progress.
• Supervising erection of winder and all associated equipment.
