We are looking to employ an experienced Pinger and RSS Feeder.

RSS Duties

Your Project Manager will provide you with the URL’s of the RSS feeds to each of the web 2.0 properties.

You will be responsible for submitting RSS feeds to RSS Directories. A Sample of Directories can be found at

You must have a lot of experience with RSS feeds and must know how to pipe feeds using yahoo pipes or the latest
feed sources.

You will provide report to Admin on a daily basis as to what feeds were done and added to which directories.

Pinger Duties

You will pay attention to Google Reader (shows New Properties added as well as anytime a property is updated.)

Pinger will ping any item based on quality and relevancy. Pinger will provide report to Admin on a daily basis as what was pinged and where. (Excel Spreadsheet Template to be provided by your Project Manager.)
Pinger must be knowledgeable in the use of proxy servers.

• Pinger and RSS Outsource have to have a Google Reader account open on their desk top. Whenever a new Web2.0 property is added or any changes are made to already existing properties, they will see it in Google Reader and be required to take appropriate action.

• You can use google reader or the latest readers out in the market to maximize time and efficiency.
