Outsourcing means that one company will let an outside company, team, or individual handle their tasks. Before we proceed to how to earn from outsourcing, let’s take into consideration why companies outsource in the first place.
Why do companies outsource? For many, outsourcing is a good solution to reduce costs. Outside companies may be able to handle tasks cheaper, and sometimes, even better. Dell, for example, relies heavily on outsourcing, and it is able to get a considerable portion of the market, even up against giant companies such as Microsoft and AMD. US and European countries also transfer most of their production tasks to countries such as China, Philippines, and India, where the hourly salary rates are much cheaper.
Outsourcing also allows for companies to maintain a flexible work force. Instead of hiring regular employees, companies can hire on a contractual or a per-project basis. This allows companies to be flexible and to be able to meet the demands of a dynamic economy.
So how do we earn from outsourcing? Making money through outsourcing can be very profitable. You can apply for Data Entry jobs, virtual assistant jobs, call center jobs, IT related jobs, engineering jobs, and so on, and so forth. The growth of internet and communication technologies has allowed for jobs from almost every field to be outsourced.
Another way to earn from outsourcing, especially if you know a lot of skilled professionals who may be interested in additional income, is by finding clients and assigning the work to those skilled professionals. For example, if you know a web developer, and then you found a client looking for a good designer, then go to your web developer friend, ask for his portfolio or past sample works, and present them to the client. This way, you’re acting as a middle man. You can set an amount to pay the web developer (say 80% goes to him for doing the project), and the rest will be your income.
Where can I get my own jobs? The Work From Home Guide has a list of legitimate sites where you can get your own clients on the Get Paid to Work section. It takes persistence and effort to get your own clients, but it will be worth it.
