1. Install, patch and maintain all Oracle software.
2. Tune all Oracle instance components including SQL and PL/SQL.
3. Approve all production schema changes .
4. Approve changes to database design .
5. Control all migrations of Oracle schema objects .
6. Design and implement a backup & recovery system .
7. Database Security .
8. Implement Oracle failover technology
9. Backupand Recovery .Storage and Capacity Planning .
10. Demonstrable background in ensuring high performance within an ERP system.
11. Strong understanding of the database technologies on Oracle database.
12. Experience handling customer performance issues.
13. Practical experience in performance improvement work.
14. Performance Monitoring and Tuning experience in (Oracle 10g or 11g preferable).
15. An understanding of Linux/Unix System Administration concepts.
16. Self-motivated individual with the ability to juggle multiple projects with minimal supervision.
17. Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
18. Strong analytical and Troubleshooting skills .
19. Strong development and debugging on-the-spot skills .
20. Experience with NetApp or Sun Storage is highly desirable, with various backup technologies (filer based and DB based) .
21. Experience mentoring developers on performance optimization techniques.
22. Experience with Oracle Exadata is a plus.
